Cultural Connections Event Review

Adrian Bent, Peak District Mosaic’s Vice Chair, shares his thoughts on the Cultural Connections event with KISHA-UK:

On 6th September, the Cultural Connections event brought together a vibrant mix of people, with many young people at the heart of it.

The day was filled with energy, music, and conversation, creating a space where different cultures could be celebrated side by side. Children and young people engaged in nature and the activities that Pete introduced while out on the hike.

What made the event so successful was its sense of unity. Everyone, young and old came together not just to take part, but to truly connect. From first-time walkers in the Peak District to those sharing stories of heritage and culture, the event was a reminder that diversity is our strength.

It was joyful, inspiring, and a real showcase of what community looks like when voices across generations are celebrated.

Peak District Mosaic is a charity that creates and sustains engagement between the Peak District National Park and new audiences.
