There are two pay and display car parks;
1. Castleton Visitor Centre –  https://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/visiting/visitor-centres/castleton.  Address – Buxton Road, Castleton, Hope Valley, S33 8WN
 
2. Peak Cavern Car Park– Look for the signs stating ‘The Devils Arse Car Park’ from the main road.  Postcode is S33 8WN .
 
Travelling by train to Castleton
  • The nearest train station, travelling from Sheffield and Manchester is the Hope station.  You will need to get a bus from Hope to Castleton.
  • The 272 Bus from Sheffield go pass Hope station 
  • Estimated time: 10.49am

Equipment

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk:

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
  • Cool/warm clothing depending on the weather (inc gloves, scarf, hat)
  • Waterproof coat/jacket
  • Bring sun cream if necessary
  • Bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
  • Your In Case of Emergency (ICE) card
