A low level 5-mile circular walk from Castleton to Hope, and back to Castleton.

- Start time of walk: 11am
- Distance: Approximately 5 miles
Meeting/Starting point:
Walk leaders will meet you at the bus station in Castleton (opposite the shop “Peveril Stores”)

Outward Bus from Sheffield:
Bus 272 to Castleton – Departs Sheffield Interchange from Stand D2 at 9.45am.
Arrival at Castleton Bus Station at 10.54am.
Parking:
A pay and display carpark is available by Castleton Visitor Centre (5 mins walk from the meeting point) if you choose to travel by car.
Return:
Return bus to Sheffield: Departs Castleton Bus Station at 1:24pm, 2.35pm, and 4pm.
Arrival in Sheffield 2.35pm, 3.32pm and 5.14pm.
Equipment:
Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk:
- wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
- cool/warm clothing depending on the weather
- waterproof coat/jacket
- bring sun cream and sun hat if it is sunny
- bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
- bring walking poles if you use them
- Your ICE card
NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
