Approximately 6 mile round walk in the beautiful woods and pastures of the Derwent Valley from the picturesque village of Hathersage.

Distance: approximately 6 miles

 

Meeting/Starting point:

Meet the walk leader next to the public toilets in the main square of Hathersage, opposite Texaco Garage.

Access Information:

 Bus: 272 to Bakewell

  • Depart Sheffield Interchange
  • Depart from Stand: D2
  • Departure time: 9.45am

 

Return bus times to Sheffield

  • Departs Hathersage (adjacent to Bank House) at 1:54 pm. and 2:51 pm.
  • Arrival in Sheffield: 2.45pm and 3.32pm

Parking:

Pay and Display Car park: Oddfellows Road Car Park, Hathersage, S32 1DD

Equipment:

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk: 

  • wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
  • cool/warm clothing depending on the weather 
  • waterproof coat/jacket
  • bring sun cream if necessary
  • bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
  • Your ICE card
    NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
