A scenic circular walk overlooking the Hope Valley from Hathersage.

A steep incline to start before walking across the moorland and entering Abney Brook and Haselford, then the river for the final stretch to Hathersage.

Start time: 10.30am (please note ETA in Hathersage is 10.25am) but there may be delays.
 
Distance: 6 miles

Meeting/Starting point:

Meeting point: Hathersage (outside public toilets)

Meet the walk leader next to the public toilets in the main square of Hathersage, opposite Texaco Garage.

Access Information:

Bus: 272 to Castleton

Depart Sheffield Interchange Depart from Stand: D2

Departure time: 9.45am

Return bus times to Sheffield

Departs Hathersage (adjacent to Bank House) at 1:54 pm. and 2:51 pm.
Arrival in Sheffield: 2.45pm and 3.32pm

Parking:

Pay and Display Car park: Oddfellows Road Car Park, Hathersage, S32 1DD

Equipment:

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk: 

  • wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
  • cool/warm clothing depending on the weather 
  • waterproof coat/jacket
  • bring sun cream if necessary
  • bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
  • Your ICE card
    NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
