Enjoy a picturesque walk through the countryside and village of Hathersage, featuring a visit to North Lees Hall. This historic landmark is where the famous Charlotte Brontë once stayed and later featured in her novel, Jane Eyre.

  • Bus No 272 from Sheffield Interchange to Hathersage, Main Road/George Hotel
  • Sheffield Interchange: 08:46am (Hulleys)
  • Arrival: Main Road/George Hotel: 09:22am

  • Distance: Approximately 3 to 4miles

Return:

Main Road/George Hotel 14:16pm (First)

Parking:

There is car parking at Oddfellows Road, S32 1DU opposite the swimming pool and at the railway station, as well as on road parking in certain areas.

Equipment:

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk:

  • wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
  • cool/warm clothing depending on the weather 
  • waterproof coat/jacket
  • bring sun cream if necessary
  • bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
  • Your ICE card
    NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
