Hathersage Walk: Thursday 5th June

Good news – our regular Thursday group walks are back. Enjoy a beautiful 5 mile walk through the peaceful village of Hathersage, along the River Derwent and across the surrounding countryside.

Meeting/Starting point:

Bus No 272, Stand D2

  • Sheffield Interchange: 09:46am
  • Arrival: Hathersage – The George Hotel: 10:22am
  • Start time of walk: 10.30am – Meet at the public toilets in the square
 

Travelling by Car (postcode S32 1BB takes you to The George Hotel)

Parking: There are several small car parks around Hathersage, plus limited street parking (park at your own risk).

  • Distance: Approximately 5 miles. 
  • Walk difficulty: Medium

Return:

  • Return bus to Sheffield: 2.16pm

Equipment:

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk:

  • wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
  • cool/warm clothing depending on the weather
  • waterproof coat/jacket
  • bring sun cream if necessary and a sun hat
  • bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
  • Your ICE card
    NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
