Longshaw to Hathersage Walk: Thursday, 3rd July 2025

Padley Woods - Peak District National Park

Join us for a 6 mile linear walk across woodland pasture, moorland and farm fields to end in the Hathersage village.

Meeting/Starting point:

Meeting Point: Fox House Inn

 

Bus No 272

    • Sheffield Interchange: 09:46am
    • Arrival: Fox House at 10.14am
    • Start time of walk: 10.30am
 
The route will be from Longshaw to Hathersage.
 

Please note that this is not a circular walk.  However, if you are travelling by car, you can get the bus back from Hathersage with the walk leaders to return to Fox House.

Travelling by Car 

Sat Nav: Use S11 7TZ to find Longshaw, and then please use brown signs to navigate to the car parks. There is a very sharp bend opposite the Fox House, please take care on approach.

Car parking is available FREE of cost at Fox House Inn.  Please note that you are parking at your own risk and PDM will not be liable for any incidents in relation to your car while parking at Fox House Inn car park during a PDM activity.
 
There is a National Trust pay and display car park £6.00 for 4 hours and £8.00 – all day parking at this address.

Please ensure you dress appropriately/take the necessary equipment with you for the group walk:

    • wear comfortable walking shoes/boots (do not wear trainers)
    • cool/warm clothing depending on the weather
    • waterproof coat/jacket
    • bring sun cream if necessary and a sun hat
    • bring a packed lunch/snacks and water
    • Your ICE card
      NOTE: You can download and fill in an ICE card if you do not already have one. It is important to bring it with you.
